It's time for the 5th Annual MINI Race!

This will be a VHORS-type race with a twist:
All cars entered will have to meet VHORS Super Stock rules (shootout rules)
All cars must have a MINI COOPER body. Can be new-style MINI or classic Mini. Your choice.
MINI COOPER Bodies that I know of that are legal:
--Fandango MINI Cooper and MINI Cooper S (No longer produced, but still legal)
--MEV Mini Cooper
--Bat-Jet Mini Cooper
--Winning Edge Mini Cooper (Must be sanded down a little to fit through tech block)
Any others? Let me know...

Standard enduro race format, 3 min heats.
There will be an IROC warm-up race (2 min heats). I'll supply 4 cars matched to the lane colors…
(Yep, these will be MINIs too!)
There will be a $5 entry fee to cover food, drinks, snacks…and a trophy/plaque for the winner :-)
***Overall winner gets the trophy based on cumulative laps & sections added together from the 2 races***

Back for this year: Event T-shirts! High quality pocket t-shirt with small design printed on the pocket, and large 4-color graphic (as seen below) on the back!

All shirts must be ordered in advance!  Pricing: Youth=$12, S/M/L/XL=$14, 2XL=$16, 3XL=$17

AND - due to newly expanded pit space this year, I've expanded the field to *16* racers!

Jack Rutherford (Fandango Racing) made what seems to be the only modern (BMW) MINI Cooper body.

Classic Mini bodies are available from MEV and are in-stock at NJ Nostalgia Hobby.

A new Classic Mini body available for the first time this year is from Bat-Jet

If you have trouble getting a MINI body, I'll have some available for loan, and I'm sure other racers will too… :-)

I also plan to have an open practice session a week or 2 before the race…

For those who have not yet visited my track, it's a Maxtrack. The slot depth is similar to classic Tjet lock & joiner track, so long pins will not work.

8:00am, Doors open for practice - practice will be timed so that everyone gets on the track
10:00am, Practice ends. Qualifying Starts. Then IROC race starts.
11:30pm, (or whenever race ends) - break for lunch
12:00pm, Main event starts

Once again - the overall winner will go home with a trophy! This is the 2008 trophy! (Italian Job IROC cars not included):
